The Great One - Madam Flossie Mae

Picture
Minister Demetra Davis created Madam Flossie Mae as a character for a popular church play in 1982. Her character was the runaway hit of the play and has been in demand ever since then. Madam Flossie Mae brings joy, laughter and song to congregations through out the United States.

A native of Portland Oregon; also known as " Sister Mete" (pronounced “ME-TEE”) among the Portland church population, she totally surrendered her life to God at the age of 15. Publicly playing in her father’s church since she was 5, she began composing music and lyrics - as well as singing songs that glorified the Lord by the age of 16.

Sister Mete; a mother to four children – and wife to Reverend G. James Davis, Sister Davis indeed has a testimony. She is a two – time breast cancer survivor and heads the new foundation, “Mother – Sister - Me” a non-profit organization that focuses on breast cancer awareness, early detection, spiritual support and counseling issues.

Minister Davis is a graduate “With Honors” and is firmly in possession of her Associates of Arts degree in Psychology; rapidly approaching the receipt of her Bachelor’s degree in the same field of study.

An accomplished songwriter / musician with two recorded CD’s
(“It’s All Good” © 2004 and “Caught Up!” © 2006) she has performed
and ministered in various places around the country including a gospel music showcase performance in Nashville Tennessee at the “Grand “Ole Oprey.” Sister Davis has well over 100,000
unadvertised views of her ministry work on Internet sites; with over 60,000 of them found on the YouTube site from one very popular song titled,        "Thank You Lord"

In 2009 Minister Demetra Davis has started work on both her third music CD and a gospel music ministry documentary.
